Finally had a few minutes to throw a new tune in after the ATT install. Dennis made this one up for me.

What a big difference off the line it makes. After the ATT install I was actually happy with the performance without a tune. It would keep up easily with traffic and all around was just better.
Now with the tune Im guessing 0-60 shaved atleast 1 second off. Its very responsive off the line. I discribe it as "It feels like a gasser".
Overall very happy with it. Going to watch MPGs now and see how that comes in.

Both mine and my wife's truck does that and better... just with the stock turbo with TM and a tune.;)

Yeah but put a 27' boat behind them and tow at hwy speeds and the slightest grade will have the EGTs through the roof.

I got no boat, but it pulls this OK up grade 7 slopes :agreed:,..i won't say at highway speeds though.
I don't go faster than 55 ml with a big load cause its to scary and i like to be able to stop and that is hard with a load 3-4 times the weight of the truck:eek:
i never seen EGT's in the red yet;)

Electric over hydraulic brakes on the trailer are your friend.

Damn that looks cold. Do you lose any Bison to the polar bears?

I'm thinkin the low egt's towing has a lot to do with ambient temperature you live in compared to the rest of us. I have learned at 45 f and below I can run my hummer flatout and I am not getting over 1150, ect never moved up. Then on Sunday we were at 80 and I tried same thing up the same little hill coming out of Vegas area back to Boulder City and 10% of the way up the temp started climbing, 20% fan clutch engaged, 50% up and 205 degrees as my foot came off the pedal.

The other thing thing that is way noticeable is low humidity hurts also. WMI in my future...

Leroy, is this the same burb that had the 4 cyl Isuzu?

That is how I would describe the tune from Bill on the ATT in Larry. The power is alot more linear like a gasser. With the turbomaster and a Heath tune it was all instant hit past 50% throttle felt kinda flat and once the tach swung past 2200 or so she started feel like everything after that was alot of effort. With the ATT it just goes. The harder you mash the loud pedal the faster she goes. And the EGTS do not move nearly as quickly. Love the way I can keep up with traffic with like 3psi of boost... effortless acceleration. I have a fuel leak I am still chasing but despite that my 1st tank with the ATT in Larry was 19.3. She was getting 17.6. I think with the fuel leak sorted should see 20 maybe. Very pleased with ATT... the next ATT will be coming from you Leroy!;)

Not nessesarily.

Similar setup will mine and I can haul 55+ over the rockies without hitting 1150 unless I try on purpose. 1200-1300 takes a really determined attempt to hit. Those are TIT readings and 55 is pretty much a self imposed limit in the mountains. Limited by my brain, not the truck.

Our trailer is 9 feet high, 35 feet long and nearly 9000 lbs so its a fairly good test for the drive train. We usually gross combined around 18,000-ish.

Never once had to slow down or stop for either egt or ect in the mountains. Only times I had to slow down on mountain passes was whenever there was traffic in front of me going slower.

Highway speed on the flats is no issue, but I tend to stay around 60 for several reasons not related to egt/ect.

Rated trailer tire speeds, mpg, etc....

Is that when your engine blew up? :hihi:

Oh and change the avatar to a more cooler looking GM Truck with holes in the bumper, instead of that that... thing... yeah...

Time to time I change them when I get tired of seeing it. Not long to go on the current one. Where is yours?

Yep. Pulled the Isuzu mainly because Im a 6.5 business. Hard to rep a 6.5 if I don't run them.

Come on Leroy, I read your thread on the Isuzu swap and you state that you didn't like it because there was too much vibration from the 4 banger. With your 6.5 spin here, we might have to start calling you Joe Isuzu.:hihi:
