keeping the 6.5 cool

I was having cooling issues here in GA last year when it got to around 100F. What i did was clean the crap out of the radiator, A/C & other coolers. kept the single-stat like Heath reccomends and use a robertshaw 180F thermostat. Installed an HO water pump with the 4 bolts, and got a SSD dmax/HD fan clutch combo, and installed a derale trans pan cooler. The DMAX fan/hd clutch really pulls some air, no comparison to the stocker. Ever since the thing has stayed nice and cool, never over 205F even when it's 100F outside and i've got the A/C on max pulling 9000lbs up & down the mountains & the throttle on the floor. Very happy with that combo.
