KD lift pump harness install question

If you just want something simple and cheap get the Airtex E8153, it costs less than stock, same style as stock, but higher pressure for better performance. I dont know if its reliable, probably not any more so that the stock units, but its a stock fit. Otherwise the Walbros are nice, thats what I have.

I still dont get the rationale there, grounding the terminals wouldnt make them pass power. The LP's windings or whatever are probably breaking down their insulation resistance so it has low resistance, but even then, dont see how they would design a circuit that could fail in a way that a low resistance pump will run continuously. Thats a design flaw if you ask me.

I got my Walbro and lots of filter on the way from PMDCABLE.....Leroy rocks, he is sending me a plug n play outfit thats easy to install. I am a mechanically challenged individual and need all the help I can get but I can ride anything that wears hair!!! LOL

I don't get it either, but since I am upgrading some components in anticipation of a certain "buddies" upgrade, then a better liftpump is in order anyway.

I did not think mine was bad, either. I am not sure what is bad in it may be just the cable or something.
It does look old and rusty though. The previous owner was fire dept.
