Ok Ive found an elusive K47 option air box....Ive got it all, and whats the best way to plug that snorkel looking tube thats closed on the end? I dont wanna jam a pipe plug in it and then maybe it get sucked into the turbo somehow(thats how my luck works!!)....it even came with an almost new filter!!!Guy said the truck it was on that the motor had a blown head gasket, well it was a u pull it type yard and we went to pull it and I told him that he wasted a good truck...that the turbo was just bad, man the front bearing in that turbo was GONE...it had oil blown up into the air box and all around the motor....BUT he swares its a head gasket(i wiggled that impellar like 1/8 each way, what a waste of a GM8)....Anyways, I got it for $40!!!!

Im told it is from 97 and on trucks with the 6.5 and its an option, it takes the big round long filter instead of a square flat one..... THe one I got is from a 99 3500 single wheel crew cab auto.....I can take pics If i can find the digital camera..that dang thing goes MIA like once a week....

Thats what I understood from what I was told...I was told to look on www.car-part.com for a 97 3500 air box, and found that one(it gives u the option to chose the K47 intake).... I saw them for $40(which i bought) all the way to like $150..... I currentl waiting on parts for my 93 but I have it installed...when I get it done I hope to get the turbo whistle back and LOUDER....Well gotta do some more turbo work to get it back too....

This question comes up with regularity. I happen to like my turbo muffler. Why not leave it in there? It isn't causing any harm....

Thats fine and dandy, but when I installed it in my 93, the mount for the muffler isnt their....so for now i mounted the muffler in the hole and zip tied it up so it cant get into anything..... so if someone is looking for the turbo muffler, when i take it off you can have it!!!! Can i install a K&N filter in that air box? i can tell she breaths easier now if though im only pulling 2psi boost(waste gates stuck open).

A mounting bracket is easy to make if you want to use the muffler.
Yes, K&N makes a filter for this airbox.
I will take the resonator if still available.
Thanks!

Ya you can have that thing when I get it pulled back off(still in their to plug the hole for now) dont know when I will get time to get it off keep on me cause I will forget who wanted it...... I want the turbo whistle and we dont want no muffler to quiet it down!!!!!
