Getting tired of having my gauges sitting in the box :p

I got to thinking about it, and after all the fooling around with pulling the upper plennum, scraping, and putting on a new gasket, the time and money involved made it not seem so expensive. The guy who sells them is Leroy Linza and has been a GREAT vender to deal with, lots of emails letting me know exactly what's going on. Should be here in a few days, then I can at least get my boost gauge hooked up. I can go into work on a saturday and get the manifold tapped for the thermocouple later on then.

The ease of instal and the great vender make the cost involved worth it to me, I thought it was way too much at first, but it does make sense seeing as how it saves a bunch of time and hassle and a trip to the parts store. I can easily see the price coming down on these as more are sold too.

I know some might think it expensive, BUT when you consider The machine time, material cost, advertizing.....These are stainless steel with a brass fitting. It takes me 1/2 hour just to drill the hole, if you get it wrong start over! Then there are 1/4" male pipe threads on top. If I sell one on ebay then paypal and ebay get $15 of it.

The things to consider are:
1)Do you have the time/tools to make something like this yourself.
2)If not you will have to drill and tap the manifold, that means removing the upper manifold.
3)You will need the tools and new gaskets.
4)To make a Turbo Boost Bolt yourself (easily 2 hours).

My Turbo Boost Bolt takes (at most) 10 minutes to install and that includes removing the plastic cover. No need for new gaskets, drilling/taping, tools (other than a 10mm socket)

Thanks for the interest.

Well, I could make my own exhaust, but I bought one. I could make my own PMD isolator, but I bought one.

It looks like a good product, Leroy; I'm willing to bet lots of people will buy them rather than make their own... as long as everybody understands that the choice to do that is best left with the individual truck owner.

Advice, we got lots of.

Makin' up yer own mind... priceless.

Welcome to the site, Leroy!

Thank you and I agree totally.

A lot of people also take for granted their mechanic abilities. To alot of people drilling/tapping is so far from what they know, they don't even know where to begin.

I think its a great idea, and had I not already drilled/tapped my intake, I think I would have bought one..

Although, you still need to drill/tap to do the pyro... What can ya do for us there?

To me, it's a matter of time, not ability. I am a machinist so drilling and tapping is no big deal, I just dont have as much time for my projects now that I have a baby.

I can not come up with a better/easier way than to drill and tap for a pyro on a 6.5
I drilled mine after the turbo, but as close to it as I could get it. If I ever pull the engine I will drill pre turbo when I can access the mainifold.
Below is the only picture of what I did. Not a very good picture to show the pyro probe, but you get the idea.
