Just got a 94 Suburban for my next toy

Hey Scott, how are you?
Scott (Bigburban) was a big help to me. He went and took the pictures I posted up here and checked out the truck for me.
He said if he did'int have his allready he would have bought this one. Thats a good sign :hihi: Coincidentaly he had some pyo wheels for sale also and I bought those from him. Scott is going to load them in the Suburban for me too.
Thanks again, its great to have such a resource like we have here, a "diesel towing resource" :agreed:

Junk yard time.

That won't happen here, since cash for clunkers you can no longer enter the yards and pic your own parts. They keep drive train parts body panels and trash the rest... I can drive to KC which I need to do anyway for the one missing panel (the roof trim above the back window) in my 91. So maybe I'll score some then

I would move away from there  No junk yarding!!! What are you supposed to do all day then??
But seriously that is BS when private business is dictated to like that.

Nice find. Can't wait for the goodies to come out for it...

Something tells me he won't be waiting that long for the 93-94 door switch panels:eek::DIMG_1512_1.JPGIMG_1513_2.JPGIMG_1514_3.JPG

And yes they have the power mirror switch in them:thumbsup:

You will need to cut the door panel on drivers door. Not sure about the rest only did Driver door. I pulled the mirror wire harness out from the main harness of a junk truck. Installed it in the 93. First I covered in wire loom because it was loose from main harness and a big spaghetti mess. That was a job!!

I think I will probably make my own harness for the power mirrors, I have been doin some homework here and figure supply a 12 volt power source to the switch and then send leads off of each directional adjustment. Only thing I need to figure out is how to switch the power and control between the 2 mirrors.

Thanks for grabbin those bud I really appreciate it, you made my day.

The power mirror switch has a left and right switch on it in the center.

Well Im pretty sure I have a transport lined up. Turns out one of my local customers is in the business. I have helped him figure out problems with his vehicle and spent alot of time with him in the past, so he is going to give me the "buddy deal" and charge $450. I can't even do it myself for that.

Plane tickets are crazy high, Caskey and I thought about making it a road trip to get my 93 GMC but in the end after including meals and time spent it was a better choice for me to fly over and drive it. Fuel and tickets ran me WELL over $450

It you can get it hauled for $450 you are getting a great deal.

You are correct.
The fuel alone if I drove it back would be roughly $200. By the time air fare, food & one night hotel is paid plus the ware and tare on me I will gladly pay $450.

Hey, Very soon I hope. The guy Im working with says next week. I have a call into him to try and firm things up.
Will definately let you know when.

Quick update

Got back home over the weekend. I am seriously jet laged been sleeping for 2 days. Its a 24 hour plane ride one way!
Anyway got to see the burb about 2 months after I bought it. It is very nice exactly what I thought it would be.
Its very dirty after sitting under an oak tree for the last month.

Nice burb! Thats a score on the power door trim there, ive been hitting up the junkyard regularly for a set for my truck. But sadly red is very hard to find...
