It lives

Gettin there

Ok we've been driving it longer distances now and overall its running really nice.
It is however still trowing a code It seems to happen under accelleration the light comes on and goes off when you let of the gas.
It's #78 Waste gate Solenoid Fault
Is the solenoid going bad?
If so I would like to make it work until I can replace with a Turbo master.
I like Heaths just don't have a lot of scratch right now

First test the vacuum with a gauge to make sure the vacuum pump is working.

If vacuum is working and if you have boost and EGT gauge I would just put vacuum straight to the wastegate actuator from the pump, and use a boost fooler (its just a potentiometer wired between boost sensor and PCM).

PM me if you want to replace the solenoid, I have one I am not using.

We'll see

mangus and I swapped waste gate actuator
We will see what tomorrow brings until I can get boost guage

self: let this be a reminder, never park your suburban in your brothers driveway.....

bastard took my solenoid while my back was turned!!

Before I installed my turbo master and deleted my vacuum pump, I got code 78 a couple of times. And only at high speed. Investigation revealed..... The arm from the vacuum reservior thingy had come disconnected from the waste gate arm. doh!
