Is it normal to hit 1100F unloaded?

I'm holding my neighbor's cat hostage for coincidentally the exact amount of a Warpspeed 4" and crossover.

Without upgraded PCM and exhaust you cant take advantage of that Raptor. These items would be a much better investment than the strereo stuff. Fluidampr could be a reliability mod so I cant say its a worse investment, but I would buy the exhaust before replacing a factory balancer that isnt bad.

You build 'em your way, I'll build 'em mine....

:)

P.S. The "stereo stuff" is leftover bits I already have sitting in the garage.

You came asking about why you got hot EGTs.

Just dont post anything about your 6.5 being underpowered or overheating. the exhaust not only wakes up the turbo, it makes the engine more efficient and lowers EGTs and IATs under load. One of the best mods for this crippled stock exhaust system/engine.

True, but nowhere near as much on his 98 as on our 94's... ours were positively pathetic. His is just bad. :D

Little bit of a "chip" there?

I build my vehicle to a certain plan. It's always worked for me, so I stick to it.

I did not say I would not be doing the exhaust, but I will do it on my schedule and my budget.

Nothing personal, it's just the way I build 'em. You do it differently and that's fine too.

I've only had the truck a month or two and have spent more than I should have already. Sure would be nice to go out and throw a PCM, full stainless exhaust, Att and whatnot at the thing all at once.....but I'm not made of money...like I said, I'm building it to my plan, no one else's...

Cheers

No "chip", thanks for asking though.

You come with a lot of questions, just trying to give best bang for your buck advice, if you didn't have experience with these trucks.

Your plans in the sig didnt include exhaust or PCM which is why I mentioned it.
