is it fishbite, or what?

Dan I think I experience the same thing.

It doesn't fishbite hard enough on mine to loose forward momentum, I seem to think my issue is more driveline based, ie tranny/torque converter.

i feel mien around the 3rd / overdrive shiftpoints.

With fuel guage no change at 6-7psi highway so my issue isn't lack of fuel.

My fishbite almost feels like a slow-motion shudder/quiver. Hard to explain, and its very faint, but I do notice it.

Interesting. You know, I've never read an absolute definition of fishbite...what it feels like, what causes it. Mine without the LP is very much a stumble.

and I suppose I'll check the filter again, it looked good not that long ago.

.

It might look clean but you really won't know til you get a gauge like the others have stated.
You also made a comment about a home made PMD harness. You need to make sure it is right, NOT done with crimp on connectors ......ect. Not saying thats what you have, but I have seen it on a few trucks at the auctions. Could be why they were at auction?

2 caveats to that advice:

a] make sure you use a hose clamp on the host attached to the fuel drain... it would suck if the hose popped off and filled your engine compartment with fuel.

b] wash your hands before you handle the tape that you are using to put the gauge on the wiper, or else the tape will let go and the gauge will flap around in the wind and beat the hell outta things while you drive all over the road trying to reach out the window and retrieve it.

--Don't ask how I know that.

See, now it's fun stuff like this that makes me wish I lived closer to you. I'd love to watch you handle a chain saw or a nail gun with the safeties removed.

ROFLMAO !!!

Matuva,

Don't get me wrong. I've flown to Australia three times and dragged it through NZ. Islands in that area were made by God to instill envy in those that live in...Oklahoma. I'd rather live closer to you all things being equal.

You should be, but you're not :)

He ain't lyin'. I happen to own the only 80 acres that I find truly attractive. The stretch of I-40 from I think Mustang to Sayre is is so unattractive Cycle World Magazine actually dogged it out as the ugliest part of the old Route 66 Highway.

Attached is a photo of my pond...and my big butt along with the campsite. One shows prior to clearing and one post although not of the exact same area. I get bitchy if I can't spend at least one day a week out there. Search my posts and you'll see.

Hey Dan, do get fish biting out there?

Somewhere I have a picture of me and my daughter in the back of our 21 Angler C-Dory on Commencement Bay holding silvers and kings. The days I owned that and wandered around the Puget Sound remain some of my strongest memories. I sold it for $500 less than I paid for it and now own a stupid-fast MVP hull that's grossly overpowered and gets out rarely. Still, with a modified 225 Pro Max and a potato chip of a hull it's generally the fastest boat on the water if it's calm. My other boat is a 9' Livingston and sees passengers more often. It's now on the pond.

Two years ago, my pond was dry but then it saw two of the driest years on record in a row. Since then, the pond has come up in no small part because I go out every weekend and slaughter Red Cedar. It's holding well and the state has approved my pond for stocking. I feel like a proud adoptive father. Protective too. I sit on a high point of near the pond and enjoy a beer as I croak turtles with my hot-rodded 10/22. I'll likely build a floating turtle trap soon when the novelty runs out.

But fish? Not now...but sooooooooooooooooon!

Very nice my friend. That'll all be gold someday. You know your yard is big when it has its own campsite, lol. I just wish I had room to park a few parts/project 6.5's.
