Is it a Good Price?

I bought my '99 with 150K miles on it for $6750 in January 2010. That came with Heath Programmer, ATT Turbo, new lift pump, Bosch Marine HO injectors from Heath, etc. Pretty much trouble free. However, when the front brakes wore out, the job turned into much bigger when I could not get the bearing hubs off. So I ended up rebuilding the front end: new CV axles, used steering knuckles, new rotors, calipers, new A-arm bushings, etc. Fortunately, minimal body rust. Had to redo the A/C system. Also had Heath reprogram the ECM to the ATT, gratis. The truck runs very strong. So yeah, any truck that age is going to need some work. The '95 will need complete cooling upgrade, etc.

Did I read that yr truck come out of Chicago Big T?

Did I read that yr truck come out of Chicago Big T?

Andover, near Moline or Quad Cities. Flew into Chicago and drove it back to SoCal straight in 28 hours, thanks to help from Colbythekid. Used award flights on Southwest of which I have a ton.

Yeah, That would be great. What major airport is near you? Is it a 6.5?
Bradley CT. Yes, a 6.5TD. It was the fire chiefs truck. It was never used and garaged since new. It is immaculate underneath. Interior is plain jane though. Vinyl and rubber. Crank windows.

Here dude,, http://www.searchtempest.com/ Use this and search from a distance you willing to travel, and it will find all 6.5 Sub's on Craigslist in your search area.
I seen that one the other night, there are a few more in better condition, that will fit the bill for you. Hows' this one? http://huntington.craigslist.org/cto/2403426542.html

My goal is to take $10,000 or 12. and get me a 6.5 sub,, for half that, then put in about $4-5 grand on making it like new drive train wise, tires, brakes, fluids, maintanance items, chip, exh, gauges, goddies, ect. and have a Drive anywhere family hauler for my budget. That also runs on my home made fuel. :D
