introduction new to diesels

Forum drama on a welcome aboard thread? Really guys. I know and understand most of the story behind this but lets not derail this thread. To plaf. The guys on here are some good people and will bend over backwards to help you. They have helped me fix things on my truck I didn't even know I had. There is a lot of great knowledge and very knowledgeable guys here. Hope this stuff doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth, and welcome aboard.
 
Yeah I really don't want to junk this thread up with bs. I'm not looking to buy any performance parts until I get all the kinks figured out.
 
A little update, I ordered a wastegate solenoid and that seemed to solve my issue. Psi tops out right above 10 psi now and when I go to pass there are no check engine lights.

Well there ya go, free membership here, free advice (along with detour on vendor ethics) and a fix for your truck right out of the gate. The people here really do know their stuff. Without this forum, I would have given up on the 6.5 as a useful tow vehicle long ago. Now, I'm afraid to touch a newer fangled diesel truck.
