intermittent lift pump issues

Good to talk to you today. A relay is a great idea IMO on any LP. The stock wires are what! 18ga? Try breathing though a garden hose.
Ive sold a couple hundered Walbros and had maybe 6 returned under warranty. All of those had no relay to power the LP. I think they would all still be running if they had a relay.
 
GM really dropped the ball electrically. Relays are inexpensive and extend the life of everything they are use with so far as I can tell. I am lucky that AM General at least learned the mistake and made them factory. The time and couple $ is worth it, you'll end problems afterwards.

No nesting mice here, just neighbor's cats in the winter.
 
GM skimped and got by with undersized wiring all over their vehicles for years and still does. Battery cables, alternator wire, headlights, heater blower
