#1 : 2700 RPM isn't scary
FWIW, never stated that the 2,700 RPM range was scary. Not so convinced that it is independent of the complaint though

I think I tried 3 different sized x-over pipes and found the stock x-over pipe worked best on my 6.5td.One simple thing we haven't tried yet would be putting a stock double wall pipe x-over back on
I actually had wrapped the x-over after applying silicone base to pipe.Doubled wall valve covers were implemented for noise control, the crossover tube I believe was an attempt to maintain exh heat - IE, gas velocity.
