Well my 6.2 has the usual drainback issues common to the factory mechanical LP. You can replace it with another one or installed a check valve I suppose but I personally just don't like them. A stock LP for a 6.5 or a Walbro FRB-5 is more than sufficient for a 6.2, even a modded one but since thanks to the f'in scumbags at Lee's Auto Ranch in ellington CT I now own two so doesn't make much sense to go out and buy one when I have this little beast. Let me just reiterate. The use of a 400$ Raptor LP is absolutley unessicary for a 6.2 but I had one and it's a damn good LP. Now that said the LP is fully adjusable so after install I put a gauge on it ad dropped it down to 8 PSIat idle which until I turbo it should be more than enough. I have some cleaning up to do on the piping as I didn't have a couple fittings I needed. Nice thing is there is a t block on the CUCV inside the pass side wheel well. Not sure if Civilian models have his but it made the install easier and nice place to tap for a gauge.

Wow, talk about killing a mosquito with a 20 pound sledge..! That pump is pretty darn serious piece there.. Never knew how much those things cost either.

But I think your reasoning behind it is sound. Future power upgrades.

Do you happen to know the amp draw?

Nice job kenny. I'im just running a spare LP from a 96 6.5 i had kicking around. I do have one from a 93 sitting in my toolbox. Just no incentive to change it in the cold weather right now.

Now the next step is to scrap those factory mufflers i see in one photo. Flowmaster's is all i have to say. :D

LOL... nice work. I assume that hanging socket wrench is just there for temporary shine value?

I notice you didn't waste your chance to take another shot at the scumbags at Lee's Auto Ranch, located in Ellington Connecticut... oh, I guess I did it too. Sorry; my bad.

well....ya know it shows up in search engines. I don't know what the amp draw is but it needs a relay. As far as the mufflers go they will hold just fine for now. No sense in replacing them when I plan on putting a turbo on it in the spring and scrapping the whole ex system for a custom made 4 inch.

Kenny, you should look for a good therapist:rolleyes5:, you're holding in way too much anger):h. No wait, you're letting it out:D Forget the therapist

Well when you turbo it let me know if your getting rid of the old non turbo non EGR intake/air cleaner.

ok, I know this is not the place to ask but I have to know...... Whats the deal with Lee's AutoRanch in Ellington CT?

Lees Auto Ranch in Ellington, CT are scumbags. From what Kenny told me they took even opportunity they could get to piss him off. I know he had Trans issues, VP44 issues, Raptor install issues, and i'm sure there's more thanks to the scumbags at Lees.. I can't blame Kenny for being pissed off.

Very nice indeed.

The 6.2's were notorious for that "Drainback issue"
Park them nose up for a day or two and they can be balky to get going.

I have always installed a simple check valve back in the steel line jumper hose near the tank and problem solved.

The only down side to the mechanical LP is that fact that repriming a fuel system after a filter change is a PITA.

Great job Kenny

The one thing I have a tough time getting my head around is the RUST under the rigs.

Living out here in the west we dont see that. Heck my 91 has fully painted frame rails and the exhaust system is still that dull gray color that it was from the factory.

SALT,, YUKKKKKKKKKKK

thats why I miss my 'Burb. I bought it in AZ and had it with me in Spokane.... it was a 91 with shiny paint on the frame and zero rust. Moved to MI and it lasted 2 winters before the body started to rust..... frame was still shiny when its new owner took it.

Anybody know what stock spec of Fuel pressure is for a 6.2 ? From what I undertstand too much fuel pressure can change to cold advance curve. I have it at 8 psi idle right now.

It varies, 5-8 psi is considered normal.

How loud is the Raptor? Fass'es are louder than the engines they fuel.
