Injector Knocking?

Sorry Bison! Knock was what kept coming to my mind. I'm on my third engine in three and a half years. Possibly my fears overtook my senses. At times the sound was audible while sitting behind the wheel with what sounded like a knock. When Matt gave his description he helped the way that I listened.

:It would really be helpfull if some one would diagnose a sound properly ,saying knocking if it is really pinging makes quite a diff in what prob to look for.:nono:
But maybe i was asleep at the wheel.:rolleyes5:

I call this forum paranoia...

Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I was quite happy back in the day pushing up hills w/plow on hitting 230....

Now I turn the radio down, hunch forward and stare at 210 and feather the rpms's until the fan can engage.... At this point I may be doing 40 in a 65!!

Any engine vibration I feel is my unknown conditioned Harmonic Balancer ready to break my crank...

Every wind gust my unaerodynamic beast catches I think is a fishbite...

God knows every vibration in my steering wheel I think my 'other' hub that I didn't replace last week is ready to break.. (I actually jacked it up again yesterday to check)

While I was at it, I painted the entire wheel well gloss black! (Shiny = new)...

My name is Matt Bachand, and I struggle from Forum Paranoia.

Take a deep breath and relax. These things dont fall apart that easy.
