good afternoon i just purchased a 94 suburban with the 6.5 engine but dose not run i replaces at first the pmd but the same thing it cranks but wont start i get diesel into the injection pump but not out to the injectors so i went and bought a new injection pump and replaced it but still the same thing i get diesel into the new injection pump bir not out to the injectors can i aomeonw help me out

If you got a new Fuel Shut Off Solenoid (fsos) with the new injection pump, I would suspect the fuse for that solenoid, or a bad connection between the fuse and the fuse box. It should be located in the under hood fuse box. If you can use the paper clip to read your codes. It is shown in the Tech. Library if you can axcess it. I can't seem to anymore. IIRC it's code 13.

Welcome to TTS.

Here are the test procedures for a no start.

1. Test for 10+V on the ESO solenoid while cranking, ESO connected, Pink wire.

2. Test for a 0-5 V square wave signal to the fuel solenoid module, pin A, Light Green wire, when cranking.

3. Test for a 0-12 V pulse signal to the fuel solenoid from the fuel solenoid module, pin B, Red wire, when cranking. NOTE: This pulse will appear as a 0-12 V square wave with a 20 V or higher spike, much like a gas engine fuel injector pattern.

4. Test for 12 V and ground to the fuel solenoid module, pins D and F, Pink and Black wires.

If it test good replace the pump.

It's also a good idea to check communication with the ECM with a scanner.

Some 94 model year have different IP model?
Not sure if yours does.
Where did you buy the IP from? Some vendors are selling bad rebuild IP.

i do have a new solenoid and also bypass it so it can stay open and still diesel womt come out of the injection pump

When I installed new injectors in my engine, I had to crack loose the easiest to get to injection pipes at the injectors. Pulled the easiest to get to GPs and cranked on the starter, giving the starter plenty of cool down breaks, and it took quite a bit of cranking before I got fuel out of the lines.
I did not totally remove the line nuts, loosed them several turns then tapped the tubes to break the seal from the injector.

Welcome to thetruckstop JD.
The 94 is an OBD2 system. What kind of a scanner do You have ?

Try going to leroydiesel.com and search through his site. He has a program that can be loaded into a computer or laptop and will do any functions that might be required to keep this engine running.
Look in his site for gmtdscan.

94 is an OBD1 system and will not provide power to the scanner. most snap-on scanners use an external power source to light up. keep in mind the snap-on scanners are known to give bad timing readings and are not recommended to use for checking TDCO timing. best to use ether a GM Tech 2 or the software GMTDscan on a laptop with a ALDL to USB cable which can be made with a cheap device from amazon and two wires going into the PCM connector.

you can also short the right furthest top and bottom pins in the connector and turn the key on to get codes counting the SES light flashes in the dash too.
