Important reminder for all Fumoto users

People who don't use it won't know the benefits.

I park my truck on ramps, get a piece of hose and drain the oil right into the 5 gallon jug that I use to dispose of it. Not a drop on the floor.

Try changing the oil on a 6.2l Denali and you'll buy one in a heartbeat. That truck shoots oil all the way to the passenger tire if you don't have a rinky dink deflecting shield in place.

It works, I prefer to drain oil after the engine has sat all nite, so I get as much old oil out as I can, the fumoto does allow for clean changes, but does extend into the pan making a little dam and keeps some oil in the pan, at which point I unscrew the valve from the pan for last bit of old oil, cold oil is SLOW out of the fumoto, still dripping after 1/2 hr or more. You are gonna get messy anyway when filter comes off, especially in a K series 6.5 where the filter is horizontal vs. vertical in C series trucks.

On the 6.5 K1500's, & C1500's plug draining is not that messy no skid plate, but the fumoto is much easier, to remind myself mine is open when I walk away while the cold oil is draining to last drop, I also have a tag I put on the steering wheel to remind me oil drain is open, sort of like a red flag on aircraft to arm-remove-install this/that before flight.

One of my trucks has it, the other one doesn't, I'm 50/50 on the need for them for the 6.5, they do allow for easy sample grabs that I will say is a big plus up for them.

I wish I could use one,...but I'd knock it off after one trip off-road....looks like it works though,..

I have access to a lift,...so my oil changes aren't messy anyways.
