I'm Doing an EGR Delete and have a question

From what I've been told on OBD-I just plug the vac line to EGR leave solenoid connected so it can see it, is all you need to do, and if one wanted to run a F intake they could do that I suppose.

OK, I'm a bit confused, Lets say OBD1 truck, can you just plug the vac line and drop an f intake on or does it need a reflash ?

Me to. Should I be blocking the Baro off too? And if I did I would get rid of the code? The last scan i did I got three codes: 0101 (MAF), 0400(EGR), and 0401(EGR).

Steve you are SOL you have a "smart" EGR system

In interim easiest thing for you to do is put shim under the EGR.

That way when it is opened by vac it can't physically flow EGR gook, but it keeps the PCM happy because it is looking for change to the vac system when EGR is commanded to open, PCM does not monitor EGR, it monitors vac applied or vented to/from the EGR valve & EGR solenoids

So I can get the code gone??? Cool. I will do that at the first chance I get. Many many thanks!!!:):)

Oh BTW sorry for hijacking a bit!!
