If you had to Build a 6.5

Fantasy 6.5 with no budget limits? OK, here goes: P400 with block, pistons, heck everything metal bead blasted and cryo treated before assembly. Copper gaskets where appropiate. All fasteners cryo treated, custom oil pan machined for extra strength, capacity and cooling, just like the tranny pans. Mechanical injection, Fluidampr, custom titanium timing chain.....
I don't have the tech savvy about the insides but if I win the lottery, I'll have the time to acquire it..... :rolleyes5:
Now what would you add onto it, like, the ultimate tranny, transfer case, rear and front ends, brake system, cooling system.........?:ponder:

6.2 was not stressed by addition of turbo (except rare Banks kit)....the 6.2 is smaller diameter bore and therefore more meat in the block....

Got a Heath chip in my DaHooooley and love it.
TM installed with a Banks stinger/exhaust setup. Truck runs great.

I would suggest a good rebuild to stock specs and pay close attention to the cooling system.

High flow water pump with dual stat xover
Radiator in new condition or better HD unit.

BIGGGGGGGGGGgg exhaust with TM installed to eliminate the failure prone vac system.

If you got the $$$$ a scat steel crank would be sweet along with a ballance job on the rotating assembly.

The bttom end on these can be fixed even if there are some small cracks as long as they are within the bolt holes and not into the webs

The Lock N Stich thread inserts will do the job right nice and will eliminate all worries down under :D

Stock compression is fine but plan to keep the boost to a max of 12 PSI and dont run the thing into the CRISPY ZONE (Above 1000 pre turbo)

Water Alky misters are way cool for those tough pulls.

A better turbo would alwasy be nice.

OH BTW the Fluidamper is a definate +++++
