I think I'm gonna hafta drop the fuel tank

They sell that stuff(Eastwood and others) to reline the tank on gassers. I used it on my datsun cause new tanks were unavailable at time. Don't know if it would work on diesel. Tanks new and used are common as seen on previous posts. Go that route IMO.

What about a plastic replacment tank? Maybe from a Ford even? As long as you can make it work in the space you have, your go to go. I'd have to go junk yarding to compair.

if I can find a plastic one that fits close and the price is right I'll get it. I don't want to fool around with metal anymore. what I got now looks like it would be really easy to put in a inline filter that can be changed monthly/quarterly.

X2 on plastic tank. I know someone sells one and will see if I have the link. I should get one while I am waiting for my walbro to come in. My plan is to make a 34 gallon fit in a shortbed frame.

No longer available. I'm still gonna install a 34 gallon tank in a short bed.

an old semi truck aluminum tank in the bed would be sun proof, and if you get the brackets with it and bolt it to the bed, alot safer.

The lmc one costs less. I'd put a tank in my bed if I did'nt need the room, though.

Look and see if the Duramax tanks fit. They are plastic in 2005 that I know of.

Thats a good idea, i knew there had to be some app that might work. You will have to figure out the FSU though. I know someone that makes an FSU you might be able to fit to it??
