Looks to be heat failure not all hose is rated for oil hotter than 250 deg f so I suggest buying a higher rated hose @ 350 deg f like continental or other quality aftermarket.

Another consideration is that the smaller lines maybe causing a pressure build when bypass gets real dirty.

My AMSOIL bypass is full diameter in/out and wondering why the smaller diameter on your setup?

While costly I use Aeroquip reusable steel fittings on oil lines. Keepin extra oil line hose in kit for those remote site repairs is a good idea too.

Upon re-examining the fittings you are using 'if the adapter you are using to fit the T fitting is not the correct flair or degree pitch it will not seal correctly to the hose fitting make sure it matches the hose fitting inside flair if not that's your problem.'

Not sure why small diameter hoses would make a difference going to the bypass - the orifice in the Amsoil bypass is very small so you do not rob pressure from the system.

These are the hoses that come with the FS2500 kit.

Can somebody give give me a link to the hose end and matching fitting?

This is either Leroy's kit or Lubricationspecialist.

I think they are pretty much the same. I never noticed any difference. This is on the 1995 Tahoe.

If it is leaking from the hose from the FS2500 kit, they sell replacements. I thought 59 bucks was to expensive and went to hydraulic shop. The hoses themselves are an off size fittings are normal. The install on mine was routed different.

The FS2500 hoses are good.

It looks like it is either leaking from the hose end or it could be the valve covers and dripping off the hose end.

I'm going to do valve covers as soon as I get the starter on. As long as I am not held up by the constant Afibbing. Really been a pain lately.

The hose end fitting has a flair w/% of degree angle if the fitting you inserted into it does not match it will not seat properly.

The images look to show the fitting leaking just behind the outer end nut which by design clamps the hose tube flair to the joining & matching fitting if it leaks its indicating it's not tight enough or not matching the adapter fitting clean the fitting end and monitor the leak if it leaks from behind the fittings outer nut is not tight or mismatched fitting would be the problem..rarely would there be a fitting crack issue..........

Where is a good place to buy the hose end and fittings? If I buy replacements together I should be guaranteed a matched pair.
First you need to know what hose size of fitting & type (NPT-AN-etc) is the fitting is this will be your starting point from here adapters are sold to match whatever hose fitting you have from Leroy so you're looking for a male to match that hose fitting then match whatever the thread type and size/pitch is for your T fitting.

So, once you know what type and size the hose end fitting is and what type and size your t-fitting is you search for an adapter on the web should be real easy find. I do all my hose through a local AeroQuip vendor.

The T is a standard 1/2 or 3/4" NPT.

The hose - I have no clue. I got the original hose kit, Took it to the local truck stop and had them cut it & install ends so I could install the T

Sounds like the easiest might be to remove the hose and have another made.

I don't let anyone assemble hoses and fittings for oil lines I use reusable steel fittings so I can field repair and problem hose if need be. AN fittings and adapters to whatever other thread type and size is needed are best choice IMHO.

I run full sized oil lines to the bypass filtration block and back but then again I have the later 6.5 with larger ID oil lines & higher output oil pump for the cooling jets.

Are the reusable steel fittings you use, good for The lines Leroy or lubrication specialist use for the their engine oil cooler kits?

Or can you recommend an oil line and fittings to make my own line if need be?

My reusable AN steel fittings were originally from Lubrication Specialists in a dual bypass kit for the 6.5 they no longer offer...........in AN 8 size I suspect any larger diameter hose will drop oil pressure. All my subsequent AN fittings are AeroQuip and 350 deg f capacity oil hoses C/L or the bay are best for deals on these items. You'll have to check with your vendor for the correct size of whatever ends and hoses they use in any of their kits you may have bought.

In 1999 GM introduced and installed the enhanced 6.5td the oil cooling jets were smaller then previous years and the oil pump was a higher pressure pump into May 1999 and newer GMT400 series.
