So my friend is letting an HX35 go and I was thinking of replacing my ATT with the HX35 haha just kidding, I can only imagine what you are thinking. But seriously, he is letting it go. Seems to be in ok shape. Checked it out. I was thinking of dropping it onto my dads 6.5L. I know it isnt a great sized turbo but it does have the 12cm housing and he is looking for an upgrade over the GM-1 he has on it now. I know the HX is only the slightest bit better than a GM-8 but for the price, would this be a decent investment? Also, I know the one guy does the HX downpipes on here. Would they also fit an HX35?

I haven't seen an HX35 beside one of the others, so I'm no help. Give Bruce a call and see what he thinks ... I bet he can get the specs.

There are a few variation's of HX35's, compressor wise. I am no 6.5 turbo expert but I think it would be a nice upgrade over the stock turbo. I love mine but it is a unique setup.

it was only 15lb and had a boost leak and im not sure of the size i just know that it came frome a cummins and did not tune it did however throw head studs at it and new injectors and new exhaust compnets at it but since ive put the injectors in i havent redynoed it

I have a downpipe adapter kit from Bruce (Raceday) if anyone needs it. I sold the burb before I got to install it. PM me if interested and I will dig it out.

I did see that they make a Wicked wheel for the hx35. Gonna give it a try soon.

More details about this please!

I have an HX35 in my 94 pickup. Slight improvement over the GM4, but I think EGTs are higher when towing. I haven't changed the tune, still what was in the pickup when I got it, due to lack of funds.

I have A few plans. Either drop a wicked wheel in the 35 and see what it does or make a hybrid 35/40 and drop a 60mm batmowheel in it and see how it does. WW I believe is around like 200-250 bucks. Not sure tho. Could be more. Batmowheel is around 400 plus of have to find a hx40 to make a hybrid from. Who knows

I am going to do something like this on my 95 this winter. I will be swapping to 3.42 gears and I think a hybrid wh1c will make a good combo.

Doing full axle and suspension swap since it needs new axle seals, fill rear axle rebuild, complete new brakes front and rear, new wheel bearings up front, new control arm bushings, and probably more. I have all of Ol Blues front end and rear axle in a pile so it will be easy to set up and still drive the truck.

Keep posting holset info!

Wouldn't waste the money on a Batmowheel. I know its a different application but a 9 sec Talon tried it, virtually no difference to a 56mm billet wheel I am running. I plan on testing a 58mm HX40 wheel in the near future.

You can pick up a 60mm wheel for $50, machining depends on what your local turbo shop charges, mine is $60.

I heard batmowheels are to prevent turbo surge more than performance. Then again like you said it's a slightly different app
