Today I bought another 6.5. Ive been without for 3 years now. Couldn't pass up on this one.
2000 Chevy K3500 4x4 5 speed, dually, dump, A/C, pwr window, pwr locks, one owner, 80,000 miles!!!!
Will post a pic soon. TOO cold to be out long today...

It needs a few things but not much. First is a FSD/PMD... I know Leroy has good stuff and have/had all intentions of buying from him but noticed no more Grey ones!?!?!Sorry probably old news but I haven't been into a 6.5 for a while... The other thing I found was "JMS pump mouted driver". Any one here ever ran one or know anything about them? TIA

Thanks all. Yes it was, plus we have been wanting a 1 ton on the farm for a while. Don't always need the Mack.

yes Ak it is.
According to the site, there is nothing to burn out!!!!!

Here she is. Condition like this is unseen here in the rust belt!!!

Welcome back.
The Mt. DOT had a lot of the 6.5 dually dump trucks, got to work on several of them.
Biggest problem I could see was that cab over head shield, it would catch a lot of air and really made the trucks seem quite gutless, other than that, they were very dependable and run a lot of miles.
Nice looking truck You picked up there.

Little update....I was told before buying it, it had engine issues. He thought it had "just" spun a bearing. "my driver heard a noise so he shut it off. I went and loaded it on the low boy and brought it home." So that being said I knew there was work to be done. Haven't bought a truck I drove home since 2004! PO told me the engine was rebuilt after head failure at 40,000 miles, so with only 79,000 on the clock now I decided to drop the axle, then the pan to hopefully roll new bearings in her and go. Well nope!!! pic speaks for itself. bearing spun a WHILE ago. Anyone need good boat anchor, just pay shipping!!!!!!!!!!

Luckily I don't throw much 6.5 stuff out..... Nice used crank(within .0005" of factory spec) going in this week, along with 2 rods for #1 and #2. Also, FTB mod, 2.5 crossover, 3" downpipe, turbo master, boost gauge, head studs, fluidampner, oil cooler lines, etc......Parts started showing up today, along with a Summit Racing trip sat (45 min trip each way).

@Will L. Here are a couple more pics of the boxes. The top goes all the way through. There is enough room to put oxy acy set upright, inside passenger side on with hooks to hang the hoses. I will get more once she is out of the shop.

Make sure it gets new cam bearings. I have a crank that looks just like that engine still ran pretty good albeit with some extra clatter.
