How many miles have you ridden this season (or the first of the year if you don't have a season)?

In northeastern IL, my season started January 25th with a 10 mile ride in 10F weather.

Last weekend was 350 miles through 11 counties and 2 states, for a total of 3000 miles. For a season total so far 3000 miles.
 
I was ride'n a lot between January and May. Not a whole lot of miles, just jump'n on the bike to run here and there while the weather was nice. Now it's so friggn hot I don't even want to think about it. :sad:

Between my 2 bikes, I've probably only rode around 4-5k miles since January. Probably won't ride but a few hundred miles until it cools off a bit around October. After working outside all day, jumping on a bike when it's 105* just doesn't sound like too much fun.
 
The season down here in SE Texas is pretty much year round. I agree it has been hot as hell here this summer. With my 2 weeks away at work each month keeps my miles down.
 
Just a hair shy of 5k this year... mostly commuting with several dozen rides to nowhere thrown in for good measure.

Its been a light year. It's the end of July, and i havent been to Gatlinburg even ONCE yet.

so far in 09,..about 8,000..

I just got it repainted in April, and put new skins on it.

75,ooo miles on the frame,...around 25,000 on new motor.....rain or shine,..I'm riding..

Good looking bike! The eyebrows on the lights always look cool on them.

I'm surprised you have time to ride it in between bubble baths though. :D
 
Since January 1st I have put 1125 miles on my 03 Fatboy. I have also put 4216 miles on my 09 SE Road Glide.

Not to bad considering I am away from home over 1/2 the year so far.

However it is rather embarrasing, seeing my wife since Jan 31st has put 11,436 miles on her 09 Herratage.:eek:
 
only just over 2000 this year. it sucks when I have all the time in the world with not having a job again that I can't aford putting money in the tank.
 
With my new job and never being home, i wont even have to change oil this season.
I usually average 10k a year, but this year i will be lucky to get 2k.
 
Did 220 miles last weekend (solo) in the Texas Hill Country. Took the toyhauler to the Frio River in Concan. I rode to Leaky, down 337 to Vanderpool, then up to Kerrville via 36. Swong 16 back to Medina and back on 337 to Leaky and then back to the trailer in Concan. That was 160 miles for Saturday. Then Sunday a quick zip (and I do mean quick ;) ) down 337 and back to the trailer. :thumbsup:

Anyone that's been in the Hill Country knows exactly the roads I'm talking about. 337 is THE BEST ROAD IN TEXAS to ride. Up, down, turn, turn, up down, long strait, curve, up down, curve, curve for 30+ miles :thumbsup: :thumbsup: Love it.

A buddy and I rode about 130 mile this morning till the heat killed us around noon. Cold beer time now :D

Here's a pic from last weekend as I returned to the trailer. Been using it as an avitar on some other sites. :smile5:

Going to Bandera 9/25-27 for some riding. There is a rally going on but don't plan to attend just ride. Taking the toyhauler and staying in town. I have a friend that has a sport bike that is going with us. You might want to check it out.
 
Yep, that's the Rumble on the River rally. He moved it from Liberty to Bandera. It's a small 1500-2000 people rally. I've been the last 3 years to that one, but I have things going on that weekend, so I can't go :(

Watch out for cops that weekend, they like to prowl when there is an event going on and they are Troopers, not locals. The locals won't bother you, just DPS.

Everyone does the "Twisted Sisters", to be honest......337 is great, but 335 and 336 are long and boring with a bunch of cattleguards everywhere and free range livestock anywhere and everywhere on the road. A nice route I would suggest is 16 to Medina. Left on 337 to Leakey. Right on 83, then a right on 39 to Kerrville. In Kerrville take 16 back to Bandera. That should be around 200 miles total. If you want to visit the motorcycle museum while your out, when 337 hits Vanderpool, go north on 187 about 7 miles (before Lost Maples State Park) and visit a nice private collection of bikes of all sorts.

You can always head towards Frederickburg or Lukenbach, that's not too far. As a matter of fact, if you take the route I suggested, when in Kerrville, just head north on 16 or 783 (you'll have to go east once you hit 290) and hit all the Fredericksburg area. :thumbsup:

I could type out routes all day long for the Hill Country, there are endless roads to hit and nice sceenery to see. :thumbsup:
 
Yep, the hill country has some very good riding. I've never been to this rally even when it was in Liberty. I'm not going for the rally just to ride.
Thanks for the heads up on the DPS. I remember when they ran off Dawgs on Hawgs in Lake Sommerville.
 
just added about 500 miles this past couple of days. The kids are in Washington so me and the lil' woman ran to Lauglin. I played in a blackjack tournament and took third place. We both did a texas hold'em tournament also. I got second in that and mam got third! We went to Oatman yesterday before we rode home. Man it was double friggin' hot! It was like 110* and the wind was even hotter than that. We hid out at the Avi casino, waiting for it to cool off. It didn't happen, we got caught it in a hot game of craps! We finally headed for home at 9:30. Made it all the way home with no stops. That is a record for us. It was 180 miles and we did it in just shy of 3 hours. That was cutting it close of fuel. I had the low fuel light bugging me for 30 minutes. All in all, we had a great trip. The kids get home on sat and back to school on monday. Yeah the school grind again!
 
Since July, I've added over 2000 more miles. But my season is probably over. :sad:
September has me with three weeks in China. (6500 Miles between me and my bike)
October has most of the month fixing equipment and picking corn. (No time to ride, even if I take the bike to the farm)
Then November in Northern Illinois, cold I can deal with, Snow is a different story.

At work, they pull up the motorcycle parking area in October. :sad:

I'll ride as long as we can. Just depends on when and how often it snows.
