Well it finally happened, I went to restart the 1500 after letting it sit for a half hour and got a no start/stumble . Luckily there was a water source near by. I slow poured a gallon of water on the IP and it fired right up and I was down the road. question is how long can I continue like this?

Might just be PMD ... Don't assume IP first. Water ca. Restart a PMD too.

in either case, your days are numbered. Order yourself a PMD remote kit from Leroy

This is in another thread as well but myself and many of my customers have gone months. 6+ its usually not until you can't leave water bottles in the truck cause they freeze that the pump gets done.

Override the glow plugs, but, make sure you have self limiting plugs in first and that they all work. This gives you more time on a worn pump. Even 110 degrees can use glow plug assist with a worn pump.
