How does pouring water on the IP help?

Thanks thats where it was...I looked everywhere else LOL ...got in some practice reading stuff backwards through a mirror :)

Just getting around to ordering a pump..been really busy...6 month starter went out...trying to get it replaced...and...........

I'm going with Pensacola Diesel for speed and price and I need the pump number and I don't see any number on it...anybody know where to look?

Thanks for all the advise.

Make sure you get the number right. A 94 might have the 5068 which IIRC is unique to that year and different chip. I had to do the cold water trick a few times last summer. I got by till the winter and it's been fine since but it is on my list this summer.

I considered doing the cold water trick and getting every last drop out of it but the starter went out so it will be down anyways while I try to get it replace with the warrenty. It was a Bosch rebuild.

Starter failed again. The moter is fine and the solinoid engages the gear but no juice gets to the moter. It is still under warrenty.

Do you have a tough time starting the truck? Make sure not to crank multiple times in a row, it will burn the starter up, it probably says on your visor or manual to wait one minute between cranking.

A freind of mine was using it and I suspect he was pretty hard on it. Hopfully it will be easy to start when I get the rebuilt IP. New replacement starter is on its way.
