Hood loovers

[Twisted Steel Performance]

I found the hood loovers I'm going to install on my dually, after looking at several different designs I decided to go with this set, they are similar to what new Camaro and others have and also is the same concept NASCAR uses. There web site shows indisputable proof the concept works. These should provide more air flow through the stack and out the hood. Now to find time to install them.

Dad put a set of these in his fenders on his '75 K30 in order to let heat out. They were pretty appealing visually and holding your hand over them just at idle, the heat would boil out of them. 1978-1981 Z28 I believe was the year from where they came. I'll see if I can find a picture of them at some point.

Are you pulling air in or out with what you're doing?

The motor will get wet... When not on the road she lives in the shop under a cover...

Meh, water shmater. 6.5 does amazing in rivers.
The electrical connections need a little happy goo on them with the weatherpacks and they are fine.

Paul @Paveltolz employs some hood louvers in the desert SW. Looks nifty too. It just 'has' to help heat exchange in the smallish confines of the GMT400 engine bay.

Follow up.. My mistake on the desert SW Utah is still a hodgepodge of weather tho. Carry on. never mind me...
