Yep, that's what I'm thinkin, i also want to do some testing with alternative fuels and marine injectors and a pump modified specifically for this engine!
Customers keep bringing work in and my engine gets pushed farther into it's little corner. Some days i think about quitting working and go be the people greeter at Walmart.:hello::hello::hihi:
And my engine still hangs from the engine stand . :nonod: Meanwhile a friend wanted to tune up his 82 Blazer so i made him a set of injectors with marine tips and the 6.5 natural intake manifold. Day and night difference in this thing!! Woke the bastard up.It will now run right along side of a stock 96 6.5 that we have here. And it still has the stock exhaust on and stock air cleaner . Very impressed ,next up is big exhaust and improved air filter setup.
Dude call up delta camshafts...$140 without a core, $90 something with sending them a core. I emailed your brother the specs for the cam, otherwise I have them and you could email me to get them.
We may do a cam, not sure. It is going to end up with a turbo so we may just save the time an money an put it towards the turbo setup. Once you have a turbo the cam isn't nearly as important for hp.
A cam helps a naturally aspirated engine far more than it helps a boosted engine. On a boosted engine a cam almost isn't worth the cost. Doing head work for more airflow is money better spent.
Yea but for $140 seriously? Dude it can help build boost faster and lower egts. And if you guys are already doing the centermount setup on it, every little bit helps you know? I'm working on a grind right now...
I'm not real sure I want a 6.2 to make serious torquemuch under 2000 rpm . Making to much torque to low will have a tendency to ruin major parts. Besides , will start out with the stock cam so I have a baseline to compare other cams with .
