HID Headlights....Finally

OK I finished the installation of the HID Hi beams AND the "All 4 on Hi". I pussed out on the latter and bought the "All 4 on Hi" kit from Summit Racing. I first installed and tested the Hi beam HIDs. That required modification/extension of the crossover lead. The next part was placement of the ballasts. I installed those on the frame in front of the radiator, just below the Hi beam portion of the housing. The ballasts were installed in different positions on each side due to clearance issues. Once installed and working, I installed the "All 4 on Hi" kit on the driver's side. That was pretty simple as you just need to connect to positive and negative on the battery, then tap into the green and beige leads of the Hi and Lo beam oem wiring harness. The kit needed modification/extension due to space limitation forcing placement behind the battery.

Everything works and yes it takes a few seconds for the Highs to fully come on bright, but you already have the Lows on bright. The overall brightness is simply amazing and I'm glad I did the mod.

I went with the 9011's for my high beams as I don't normally drive in areas that allow me to wait for them to light up. I went and hooked mine up so I can have all 6 on, so I can get the attention of any oncoming trafic that won't dim there lights.

I have projector housings in mine, but heres my thread.

Yes, the all on allows just lows (because that's the law) and then keeps the lows on when you turn the highs on.
