I had my SSD fsd on the intake from Jan to May, 5000km, no towing and it fried. I had a winter front on so that would have contributed to heat soak. Why take the chance when so many have stated it's a bad place?Well, if she was towing a bunch of stuff all the time running the temps up high, then I might agree, but I have it on the intake too and it seems to be doing its job. Its the higher temp rated Dtech type though, Stanadynes would be worse off. My engine temps never go above 185 though, as I havent been pulling anything in a long time.
