I'm in the transmission/driveline reman business, Full machine shop and torque converters too. Good bit of our business is racing/performance with special emphasis on short course off road trucks.
My interests are 3208 Cats and 5.7 Olds based car diesels, have a collection of the cars.
Bought my first 6.2 truck a month ago, 82 GMC 2500 std cab 8' box 4x4 manual 4 speed 70k original miles 1 owner truck. It's rough on the outside but restoration is in process.
Engine runs stellar but we pulled it out to change the clutch, cleaned all the crud off, resealed the covers and oil pan, new paint, new water pump, adding a 6.5 turbo with coated manifolds and electric pusher lift pump. It's got 4.10 gears and will only pull my boat so it should stay in one piece.
My extensive experience with the 3208 has inspired me to include pyro, fuel pressure/vac, and boost gages.

Welcome! Sounds like a good project ahead.

Welcome. I have had my share of fun with those 3208s. I still have a blown up one in the middle of the yard.

Welcome!

Start a build thread in the project central area for a couple of your projects and do some show and tell.

IMO don't use the gm turbo if you aren't adding an overdrive tranny... On second thought only use the gm turbo for a paperweight.
