Hey guys, maybe some of you that have been here a long time or from the beginning of The Truck Stop you might remember me. I haven't been on here for some time, and it was nothing to do with the site or any of you guys. Went through some stuff in my personal life and fell away from here for no reason I'm sure of. And honestly I fell away from a lot of stuff in general. I didn't own a Duramax or Chevy/GMC any more so maybe that had something to do with it, but even though I didn't, I still enjoyed the "online company" of all of y'all on here in the other parts of the forum even if I didn't have much to add in the technical parts of the forum.

But like I said, what I did enjoy about this site so much was the off topic parts of the site and what everyone brought to it. So I'll be back around here more, inputting where and when I can, and just reading and soaking in more knowledge about anything else. And who know, I'm sure down the road I'm sure I'll have another Duramax as well. Alright... enough with the sappy crap. ;)

As for trucks, as I'm sure everyone has noticed from my signature that I have sold off the Cummins. Just didn't have the need for a 1 ton truck anymore along with getting tired of fixing and replacing every little thing on it along with some of the bigger items on it as well what seemed like every few months, and wanted to get back into 1/2 ton for the time being. I looked at a couple Silverados and Sierras and a couple F-150s as well. There was one Silverado I really liked, but for the mileage on it they wanted way too much for it. Found another one that had fewer miles on it, but had a really beaten up interior. I found the F-150 I ended up buying just passing by a place and then finding it on line and it was at a very good price. It also helpped that they gave me pretty good money for my Ram too. I stalked it for probably over a month, and finally pulled the trigger on it at the end of October. It's an '08 with 116,800 miles on and excellent shape inside and out. I'm up to just over 120k on now with nothing into it other than new fluids and I put a new set of tires on about a month ago (if it was summer they would have been fine, but with midwest winter coming I felt it was a good investment).

So hopefully I won't get kicked out of here for having a blue oval now. :) Glad to be back around here and see plenty of familiar names.

Welcome back, we won't hold the Ford against you....:) Some point in our lives we have to do some different things truck wise. Gas burners are definitely accepted when a Diesel may not be needed anymore.

However You earned your Diesel Brotherhood a long time ago and once you owned a Diesel you will always be part of the Diesel following.

i figure, the reason a person owns a Ford is, they're waiting for a good Chevy to show up.
welcome back.
