Have more Walbros on order. 16.5 psi/50GPH. Group buy!!!!

Got alot done today, one of the projects was a mounting bracket for trucks to mount Wix filter and Walbro pump.
See here for info http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/sh...ting-bracket-for-Walbro-and-Filter-for-trucks.

Edit: also, got a gauge hooked up. The new Walbro was at 10 psi Pressure taken with one of my Fuel Pressure Taps on the FFM. It is pre filter pressure so Im guessing 8-9psi at the IP. Never below 5 psi at WOT.

what's the micron rating on that fuel filter?

I just installed my Holley Blue pump on my K-5 yesterday and while it does have a screen in the inlet fitting i still want to install a pre-filter, just to be safe.

30 micron

Edit: you can pretty much put whatever micron size you want on it all the way down to two micron.

Looking to use this for my 6.2 (turbo not installed yet, but soon) and was wondering if you ship to Canada? If you do, what service do you use?

I'd like a shipping quote (a0p 1c0). Thanks!

Tha sunami in Japan has knocked the production out, but they a supossed to be available again mid july. I will post here again when they are. Remind me then if I don't get you a shipping quote. I use USPS

Sorry to hear about the issues, but i can wait. The one i have works for now :D Plus, a little time will make it easier to explain to the GF why i'm replacing a perfectly functional pump for another one LOL

I'm sure when i place the order, i'll probably pick up another item or 2 from your online store as well. Been eyeing that boost bolt for a while now.

Oops hit button to soon. Leroy has a OPS extension that u can put on while u r doing the OPS mod, it makes the OPS easy to get to plus its a special grounded one so ur OPS still gets a ground to the engine block and even better it isolates the OPS from engine vibration that also contributes to failure.

Thanks Bill

Koots, Just called supplier they are still saying mid July, so basicaly another week or two.

Hey Koots have u done the snorkle and muffler removal mod yet? These guys talked me thru it. It should help ur 6.2 breath better plus it sounds good. Also the OPS mod. I am a newbie to diesels and I luv this forum it really helps u make ur truck better! Here is a link to how I did my breather mod. http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/showthread.php?30115-Fuel-pressure-at-idle-and-WOT/page3

I'm in the process of installing a "new" HMMWV injection pump, 6.5TD pass.valve cover and the f-code upper and lower intake manifold from the 6.5TD and then fabbing up a simple intake to work with that right now. Thanks for the link though!

The next thing is turbo after that! i got it all here, just need to figure out exhaust and oil lines routing.

In my opinion Koots u really want to do the OPS mod cause if the OPS is not acting right ur LP wont be putting out the right pressure or even any pressure at all and ur IP will be pulling thru the LP and this will ruin the IP. Wow that statement even amazes me! I think I am about ready to join the Brotherhood Of Black Sooty Handed Diesel Lovers Of "The Truck Stop"! LOLOL My OPS messed up Thursday Koot and the truck started and ran great once warmed up and the LP was not working and I couldnt tell it so in my opinion the most valuable mod is a fuel pressure gauge and a OPS Mod. I did my OPS mod right then and saved my OPS and all is good now.

I had to add in a lift pump because my original was mechanical. Not like the new body style trucks (88-98). Mine is running off the ignition which i know is not the best way, but i do have it hooked up to a relay :D
