Harness Question

Most likely Louis, the only thing I have ever heard of a 96 having in common with OBD1 yrs is the OS thingy.
 
Would you be using your 96 PCM with the 98 harness?

If so I can't see a problem, I'm not really in the know with OBD2.
 
Louis, are you in the market for a complete harness? If so, what the hell happened to yours?? I have one from a 98 also if it is something you may be interested in.

doesn't the Passlock share a small BCM with the EVO system?

passlock in the GMT-400's uses a passlock module that hooks to the ignition switch sensors I believe. Which harness is it you are replacing? The underhood harness should be the same, but the dash harness inside will be slightly different as 97+ had passlock whereas 96 didn't. Also I think there was a slight change in how the glow plug system turned teh light on in the cluster in 96 VS 97+.

Yes Complete Underhood Harness out of a 98 1 Ton Dually......My harness is a long story (All hacked up from Aftermarket Mods from PO and then made worse from the Collision in the Winter of 2010-11) But long story short found this great deal on harness and PCM and how can you ever have too many 6.5 parts/Acc?

Underhood Harness Only.....The passlock shouldn't be a problem if I don't have the PassLock Module (Just leave the circuit out of the loop)......But will the glows work properly?

PCM Grounds B9 or D12 (yellow wire on GP Solenoid) to start glow cycle at Key On, currently on my 96.
