Harbor Freight Toolboxes/My new snap-on

Im extremely anal about it. Soo much invested in it, i would hate to see it a mess. I like having everything in its place. Everybody else in the shop always wants to borrow this or that, and I actually get mad if they try to put it away because they dont clean it right or put it away right ever. I tell them just throw it on top of the box Ill deal with it.

Every tool that gets used gets cleaned back to a shine and then put away. I never leave without all of them cleaned and locked up.

Nothing wrong with that mantra. I had an uncle who was an excellent Ford mechanic, and was the same way. Every tool had to be shined and polished prior to placing it back into the box.

I just started building my collection in January, it all sees a lot of daily abuse , just isn't very old.

Well after using this snappy for a couple months. I can't say I've had a complaint,Definatley gives you a sense of pride opening it up for the day. And even better knowing ypi paid $8,000 less than what it is new.

Going to make a drawer slide cleaner soon and work on cleaning the slides some roll nice while others are stiff, i want them all to glide open and closed with the slightest push just like the top drawer does since its has a hundred some pounds in it. The cleaner is simply 3" pvc 3 feet long capped at one end with a plug at the other end filled halfway with either diesel or kerosene then let them soak for awhile, then shake the tube a bit, then turn it upside down and let sit. Learned this trick on garage journal. If that doesn't work then the snappy guy said he'd warranty the ones that are still stiff.

If I get bored this winter i might rip apart my stainless top and weld those holes shut. Ill have to cut it apart, but I know ill be happier in the end.

Love working out of this box, most of all love having the huge work top.

I just got the same Harbor Freight Tool Box Last Week, and I'm very Happy with it.

Mine's the same as yours, but I got 2 of the 7 Drawer End Chests, and no Top Box.

My only Complaint is that all 4 Wheels don't Swivel. It was Tricky getting it Turned Around and into the Spot I wanted it in.

I only used the harvor freight for 8 months, but it was a good box. It wasnt too bad to move around for me. This new krl snap on is a boat to maneuver .

Well I did try Moving mine when it was Fully Loaded, so that def. made it Tricky.

But it's just for my Garage here at the House, so it should Hold Up good for me.

I move my box to wherever im working on a daily basis usually, this new box rolls very nice and i thought the HF rolled very nice too. You really cant beat that HF box.
