Gotta Love Cast Iron!!

2?! Please spill the beans.
Only because the bumpers are close to iron...Sorry Les, thread highjack....

635 had a line on the chrome bumper and discovered the other one. He asked if I wanted it as I was planning on getting the winch too. He installed the chrome unit and with the loads he was hauling, felt it was interupting airflow enough to cause him temperature concerns. I had already picked up the other bumper a few months earlier and was procrastinating installing it as I wanted to refinish it first. Well, 635 decided to save me $$ for having it refinished and gave me the chrome one as well with the winch (which I paid for). I may still owe him for the bumpers too. I don't know but we'll work it out when he shows up with my motor.

He had his OEM bumper put back on and when he came through town after the October runs at Bonneville, we installed the chrome one on my truck

I still have the other one downstairs and it still needs refinishing as the powdercoat is flaking off under some surface rust.:nonod:

That was an interesting trip through here as he dropped off a Propane set up and a WMI set up w/ 20+ gal tanks for each.

635 has had the computer re-tuned so he may be of a mind that if he wants it back, it is no problem, I understand how these experiment and swap things go.

As for anyone calling "Dibs" on the other unit, OrionThade has already expressed an interest and shipping charges are a lot less for him. New Calidonia....I don't want to think about it:rof:

And before any of you's gets ideas about the propane and WMI, those were supposed to stay on 635's truck for TurbineDoc and, as such, will get reloaded for another trip out that way later in the year. Sorry, Doc, I didn't know.:hello:

If there is ever a chance the bumper is for sale let me know. If you can find who built these jewels then let us all know.

Sorry for the thread jack.

TD has an after market bumper on his truck also. I think he has a buck stop.

Sorry. I'm not sure who makes it. 635 bought it off of someone along with one for me that wasn't chrome. Didn't work for him so he gave it to me...now I have two.

The bumper is an early Warn. it is a little scratched in places, but with a 12K winch it will work well on Paul's truck and it looks real good. It was a Craigslist buy.

wow those are some crazy cold temps, ive always lived in the desert so ive never even seen it snow. Were going on a snow camping/ wheeling trip this month so i guess ill see how it does in a little colder weather
