I actually did powder coat a 2.0L Mitsu turbo engine block several years back. Obviously a much lighter & smaller block. Had to weld a little reinforcing gusseting on an oven rack to support it. Also wasn't an ideal cure time as it takes a lot of heat input to get that much base metal up to 400 F.
Coating stuff gets addictive because it stays looking great so long.

Its going in the 93. Once I get it up and running good I'm going to tear into the 96 and put a Cummins 6bt in it. Then when I get the 96 running the 93 will be for sale.
