Got Another 1995 6.5 Diesel ($700.00) Needs Some Work...

Lol well Its goin back together regardless haha. I could have had it together this days off but I decided to clean everyting instead. Gonna have it going in 11 days. If it lasts the winter I will be happy :)

PM missy goodwrench with the photo of the cracked main web. She'd have a better idea if a lock n stitch insert could fix it cheaply or if it's too far gone...

Don't drive it and it will last a real long time! Put miles on the duramax.
 
I would look for another block that will not break the crankshaft on total failure. An engine lockup in a corner with loss of power steering assist and going from power to drag can be really exciting.

I would take the advice above and mag that block because it may not hold coolant on the initial fill due to other cracks in the bores and head bolt areas...
 
I will see I guess. It's just that I have all these random used parts that are sitting in the shop and I want to use them up. If they get wrecked it won't matter..... Then I can finnaly throw them out.
