Thanks.
I don't know why people think these tractors are junk.
There are features on it you won't find on any other brand tractor.
It has stock 24v start, a pyro gauge,a spinner for oil filter(no cartridge)
A warning/instrument bulb test button.Groundspeed and 540/1000 PTO.
For winter start and cold weather op one can disconnect the hydr pump with a lever, and it has a curtain roll up in front of the rad(beats a piece of carton).
3 point hitch has up and down pressure + a float position
The front assist axle can be adjusted for width.
Differential locks can be set for automatic and will disengage when the front wheels go 10% out of straight or stay locked.
9 forward gears hi and low and 3 reverse, and a creeper mode for another 9.
And a few more features.
I think some of the negative impressions come from the castings. They are very porous because of the high nickle content, I think it is, and so they cover it with way more paint then you see any where else. So the impression is, they're covering something up!
As you describe, they are a good functional tractor, built in a country where there was not a dealer every 25 miles. You got a bargain.
My uncle owned two Belarus tractors in that size range. He didn't have any real trouble with tham that I know of other than having to replace the clutches on both machines. Can't really go wrong for that price.
Prob worth it but it would be wayyy to much money for for me,..i have enough tractors as it is anyway.
????!!!.....245 org hours and 10 oil changes,....what gives?????.
He ain't sure of the year!,...the year is stamped next to the serial# on the build tag in plain sight on the rear of the cab.
