I have searched the forum and found various methods to accomplish the switch from Dex to Transynd.
1. The Hoot Method - using trans pump and cooler lines to flush and fill w/new filter.
2. Drain and Fill - drain pan/change filter and refill with Transynd. Doing this twice within 5K miles for a 95% + transynd ratio.
3. Flush and Fill - dealer using their machine to flush approx 2 gallons of Transynd through the system to get the Dex out and then fill with fresh Transynd w/new filter.
I have 6 gallons of transynd and trying to determine which method. I'm leaning toward method 2 because of my setup at home....easier. But I'm open.
It seems method 1 has the most press on the forum. Any pros and cons to this or the other 2 methods?
Also, I am doing this at 75K miles, any problems this late in the game? I have done trans services, the first one at 1000 miles, the second at 5K, then 30K, then 65K.
