I have had pretty good luck selling stuff lately, my PYO wheels, light bar, etc. So its time for some good parts for my truck. I picked up a K47 box with a new AFE filter last week for $115 shipped, and I just ordered a 4" Diamond Eye straight pipe system from Autoplicity.com, $225 plus $12 UPS ground. Hopefully those will both go in next weekend. Once those are in, I am ordering gauges, AutoMeter Sport Comps, and then…….. its HX40 Super 60mm time!
 
Since its going to be a few weeks until I can get the HX40, I still want to be able to use the K47 box, so tomorrow I will be ordering the parts I need to complete the intake with 4" pipe, and then a 4"-3" reducer so I can run it on the pos, I mean GM-4 :) Depending on my paycheck, I might be ordering a Derale deep trans pan as well!!
 
More parts on the way. Ordered parts to complete the K47 swap from Silicone Intakes (http://www.siliconeintakes.com), I got a 4" 90 boot, a 4" to 3" 90 reducer boot, a 2.5"x3" coupler for the turbo to intake manifold connection, 3 T-bolt clamps for 4" fittings, 1 clamp for 3", and 2 clamps for 2.5" as well as 1 foot each of 4" and 3.5" aluminum pipe, $115 shipped out the door. Really excited to get these parts in and see how everything looks!
 
You won't be able to use the 3"-2.5" coupler. The compressor has a va band flange on it that most people cut off, they then use a 2.25"-2.5" silicone coupler to connect the compressor to the the intake manifold
 
Jorge, the 4-3 coupler is so I can run 4" pipe to the stock turbo. The 3-2.5 coupler is stock turbo to intake. Its gonna be at least a month till the 40 goes on ($$$)
 
The 2.5x3 coupler is 2.5" diameter, 3" long. That goes from the compressor to the intake manifold.
 
No sweat, too many numbers to keep straight :)

The factory coupler doesnt leak, but I want this thing to be purty so I figure whats another $10 to make it look good.
 
Looks like my intake parts will be here tomorrow, so I am shooting for a Thursday install. My upper and lower intake manifolds are all painted, I need to get stainless bolts for them, and then I will take the truck to the car wash and wash the engine before putting the new manifolds in.

Heres some eye candy for you all, my truck after being washed for the first time in 8+ months.

Intake parts came in today! Very happy, should look great once installed. All in all, got 3 boots, 1 coupler, (2) foot-long pieces of pipe, and 6 clamps for about $125 shipped. Can't complain. Might be going on as soon as tomorrow!!

Can't get pics to upload right now, but I will have some for you all later.
 
Here ya go, all my intake parts, except for the manifolds. Also, my K47 box and AFE filter that will be going in.

Here ya go. Took about an hour and a half to get everything the way I wanted. Would have taken half that if I had a chop box :) Everything was pretty straight forward. I had some clearance issues with the side of the box that butts up against the coolant bucket. Oh well, its tight but it works. Pipe is 4" to 3" for the turbo. Noticeable quieter than the cone "warm air intake" I had before, but knowing Im getting cold air makes it all better. And it looks good too.

Yes it does, sure makes the truck quieter though. You can barely hear the turbo, even with the top of the box off. Hopefully the Hx40 changes that
