Gm 5.3l LC9

Hey fellas I need a little bit of info I have a 2010 Tahoe it has the LC9 5.3 L Aluminum block aluminum heads I'm trying to find out if this image that I got from Summit Racing is the correct one for the torque specs on these heads and it seems to be the same as the cast iron block and I I think that is a bit much for an aluminum block or is that correct

Depends on which headbolts that it has. If it is the M11 then 22 ft pounds seems rather light to Me.

Best to measure the diameter of the bolts that was removed from the engine to get the proper spec.
A caliper that measures both metric and US Standard isnt too much money and about every parts store in the country has at least one in their parts bin.
Once You have one of those calipers You’ll wonder how You survived all these years without it.
This is the simple caliper, no dials or fancy stuff. Just a scale on the side to read the increments. Maybe about 15 or 20 bucks.

I believe he's saying that theres 2 different headbolts used on the heads, the 3.6 I'm working on has the same thing

I have the same size bolts the issue is the head torque spec is it the same has a cast iron block

Well that sorta complicates things.

M11 22ft lbs , second pass 90deg with J45059, then final pass 70degrees using the J 45059
M8 22ft after M11 are done

Okay so it is the same specs for the aluminum block as it is the cast iron block correct 22 ft lb 90 degrees and then 70 degrees and the smaller boats are 22 ft lb the smaller bolts are 22 ft lb
