Glow plugs swollen... can't get tips out through injector port!

What brand/type are you installing? With starting fluid having been used I would take bk's advice and get the injectors tested, and if they are original then might consider rebuilding them anyway.

I'm installing Delphi HDS309s... from the looks of it, that's what I'm pulling too. The PO said he had the injectors repaired/replaced, along with a fuel pump (?).

The truck runs good, but I'm just cleaning up some shenanigans. There's the GP issue, some wiring, and a turbo solenoid that was bypassed. So I've got a list of things I'm working on.

I'm not sure how the passenger side plugs get replaced, but I think I have to get a tool at this point. My technique for the last 3 was to pry them out. Peh.

Pull the passenger side fender well out. It takes 15 mins. You don't need to remove the batt tray, just unbolt it from the fender well. They come out pretty easy once you finagle them out of the truck.

I got all of mine easy enough just by removing the tire and the flap on the fender well to the control arm. Except the last one would have been hard if I didnt also have the tubro downpipe off.

The nice thing about removing inner fender (like Kenny suggests) is that it allows full access to the pass side, for glows, injectors, injector return jumper lines, gnds, starter bracket, turbo mount bolts to come off and be anti-seized, downpipe & crossover fastener lube/anti-seize, I pull mine just because it allows full access and inspection capability at least every 2 years or when I'm having odd voltage issues and gnds are suspect, it's not that big of a job to remove it, and saves lots of pain later.
