Glow Plug Harness

Yes, there is a blue[i believe] wire that runs to the ecm to tell it the glows are working. I believe it comes from the passenger side bank.
The fuseable wire serves as a fuse for each glow plug. The fuseable link for each bank won't blow from one shorted glow plug. The wires to the individual glow plugs would be on fire long before the link blows. The fuseable link before the controler is there incase the controller shorts out or gets too hot[i've seen them melted.]
It's your rig do what you want. Mine will all have a set-up similar to the factory one.

Agreed, some things are there for a purpose........and GP operation on these rigs can make the difference between starting and a NO start condition on a cold day.

Thats were I ran into a problem the round fuseable links close to the gpc on mine went out and dealer suggested replacing with inline 30 amp fuses so far it has worked fine just worried about the rest of the harness. I agree the fuseible link wire is there for a reason and it is avalible at alot of places for cheap. If the driverside goes out you get a wts light that will not go out, if the pass. side goes out you get a trouble code. Lots of reasons to keep it set up the factory way.
