Seems like if you had a reflash designed around the extra fuel output of the 5068 that it would be best for overall power output.
 
With stock programing and #6 resistor my GMTDScan showed 63.45 mm3 max fuel. With a #9 resistor it was a mind boggling 63.75 mm3 max fuel. I wouldn't bother with the #9 resistor. Leo
 
Question wasnt mainly about resistors, but I think GMTDScan only shows you the commanded fuel rate from the PCM, at least thats what the GM service manual says. So changing resistor will only affect actual, not commanded. Adding a long extension will change resistance, potentially affecting injection pulse width and fuel rate.
