Gasser MPG's?

My 99 get between 18 and 20 mpg. I have even seen 22 a couple of time but its rare. It has a 5.3L with 3.42 rear that’s at 65 to 70 mph. And some in town driving. It’s not to bad with a load in the bed but don’t ask it to pull anything.

5.3 Flex Fuel Avalanche 4WD: Hand calc 19.5 to 20.0 mpg on the highway, cruise control set for 60 mph, 3 adults + 2 children, 450 lb+ gear in pickup tray, cold tire pressure at 40 psi. Lifetime for truck is 16.3 mpg (we do a fair bit of city driving).

My 09 gets 14 mpg around town , 20 hyway. Getting a diablosport programmer next wk to see what that does to the mileage

Driving down hill with wind to my back, going 10 under posted speed limit, and all stars are aligned correctly I can almost get 8 in city :D

I have however managed to get 16 on highway between Virgina and thru NC going down I77. Not a fluke either as Ive done it two years in a row now. Bout shit myself when I seen that. Norm on freeway is around 13-14mpg.

i have a 97' Z71 with a 5.7 Vortec hand calculated i get 10.185185 MPG mixed driving, with a few go fast goodys and a noise ordinance problem

Easy on the go pedal bud!):h

we can squeeze 12 mpg towing out of dad's 98, but that is 2wd manual. trailer fairly light.

My 6.0 gets around 12 in town and 15 on the highway on a good day. My Dad has a '99 1500 5.3l and he gets around 19-20 highway driving, not sure around town. A guy I work with swears up and down that he gets 22 out of his 5.3 CC 1500 but I'm not sure about it.

Our hired-man says his 2k 1500 5.3L ECSB gets 18-19, which I expect.

Our 2002 suburban with the 5.3 and a K&N intake gets 15-16 mpg on regular and 12-13 on E85 (please keep that out of this thread, I'm not a huge fan of it either)

Had a '00 2500 SCLB with 6.0/4L80. I got around 15-16 mpg highway. Wife's '02 Tahoe with 5.3/4L60 got around 20 mpg highway (if I was driving... not close if little leadfoot was). Her '07 Tahoe 5.3/whatever is about the same as the '02. Just for comparison, my '03 8.1/A got 13 mpg highway on a REALLY good day. That's why I'm driving a Duramax...

My wives Tahoe gets 18.0 in the city, Around 20 to 23 on the highway. It really depends on who is driving.

My 01 5.3 ec sb 4x4 got around 18 on the hwy. I added a 6" suspension lift, 3" body lift, Chrome wheels with 37" BFG mud tires, 4.56 gears, efi tuned and ended up getting 11 mpg on a good day with the wind blowing just right. Average daily commute was 9:eek:. Traded it on the Dmax.:D Couldn't be happier.
