Fuel Pressure

Ok after attempting to get in my truck for over 2 hours I gave up and called a lock smith and $35 later I got into my truck. I then went and got a key made and a magnet key holder. So after about $40 I am good to go.

The good news is my bypass for the Diesel switch is not leaking and after removing all the excess wires my volt gauge is sitting higher than it was. So another plus on all of this work I have done.

If I get out of class early enough tomorrow I will re-test the fuel pressure on my truck and post it.

Well I got the fuel tank switch valve out. In the process I took a Diesel bath. But, I got it out along with all the switch in the cab and all the wire. It started getting dark so I was unable to test it afterwords.

It only gets better!

I also locked my keys in the truck. So the wife is mailing me the spare keys. I will be without a truck till the end of the week. Anybody know a way to break into a 1993 Chevrolet? :mad2:

I used M14 gun cleaning rods to unlock my 96 a time or two. ):h

Bah! How did he unlock it?

He used the wedge with the air bag and a long metal rod. It took him less than 1 minute to get in my truck. I use to have the same one when I was in germany.

Alright I finally got out of class early enough to play around with my truck.

I put the gauge back into the same exact spot as before. At idle the pressure went up to 2.5 psi. When I turned the truck off it went up to 5 psi. I did not manipulate it with the fuse like I did before. ):h

Thanksgiving weekend I will install the "T" in the valley between the filter manager and the injection pump.

I may start a new thread for that one!

Great idea on the T install. Then when you're ready for in cab gauge, the hard work is already done.

I got all parts at Home depot, the T, and 3 barb fittings that screw into it. I used paste thread seealer, also from HD, can get that all assembled ahead of time.

Then I pulled upper and lower intake, good time to houseclean and inspect.

Cut the FLT MGR to IP line near the middle, installed T, and left a few feet of hose coming out toward the drivers side. The valley is plenty deep to hold the T in there. Hose routed out alongside some injector lines. . Double hose clamped each end, as I did NOT want a leak there.

Done deal. Get yourself a upper and lower intake gasket, ebay for cheap.
