fuel pressure gauge sender confusion

howdy I am new and just got a 1991 gmc 3500 6.2 auto and am going to convert it to wvo. I have been running my 1975 240 d Merceres 4 a year on wvo with great success on a single tank blend with only heated injector lines and a block heater @ nite. My first thing to convert the truck will be to install a Glowshift fuel pressure gauge and the directions are way to incomplete. I need your help, where do you put the pressure sender? What about a needle valve or snubber? do i need to isolate it with a rubber line to avoid engine vibration? Thanks and sorry if I should of found this on a sticky or thread, I looked but not very digital.
 
It depends on the guage. Is it electric? If the sender is electric and doesn't have a small orifice and snubber built in then I would say use one. The snubber is just to dampen the pressure spikes (liquid is incompressible and instantly reflects pressure change) it allows the guage some protection from constantly dancing and wearing out the movement. It also makes the guage a bit easier to read unless you are looking for almost instanteous pressure fluctuations. I think most mechanical guages are almost automatically snubbered as the instrument is mounted remotely away from the fuel line and usually have a restrictor orifice.

What are you trying to measure LP delivery to IP then put it close to the IP inlet (you'll have to add a Tee to the fuel line going to the IP inlet) . If you want to know pressure loss from viscosisty or something then I am not sure (describe it a little more).
