Fuel Mileage Run for my 2006 Duramax

My trailer tires are only rated for 65 mph max. With family on board, and for safety reasons, I just drive a little slower.

When I tow I run 55 mph but I only run 2 lane rural or through town. If I was doing interstates I'd stay at 65. I just would rather be safe with a bunch of weight back there.

"I just can't fathom how you guys can drive 63-70 mph?

I'm at 77-80 all the time empty...towing I'm around 73-77 "

man of I drove those speeds my insurance would drop me in a heartbeat with all of the tickets i would get.

That's some awesome mileage. Best I've seen out of our 05 has been 20.5, doing a day-trip with my buddy.

I too can't seem to keep it under 63-ish on the 2 lanes and 78-80 on the freeway. In MN they won't usually ticket you for 80 on the interstate (limit 70). Towing depends on the load and trailer, and mileage doesn't really matter, lol.
