fuel Leak

Hey guys,

I have a fuel leak I noticed the other day on my truck. It looks like it is coming from some kind of tube out the side of the engine or transmission case? I think it is just above the shift linkage. I think it may have been leaking for a long time but I thought it was oil as there is a small black drip always hanging over my crossover pipe but I had never found a puddle until recently. When the truck is running it leaks when it's off it doesn't but when it is leaking its dripping about once a second.

Anyone have any idea where to start looking? Like I said there is some kind of tube exiting the driver's side of the engine just above what I believe is the shift linkage. The fuel appears to be coming out of this tube. The engine is dry above this tube. I took a look down on the filter and the top is dry. I couldn't see anything down at the bottom of the filter but I was in a hurry (going to work).

I've been looking for posts involving this tube but haven't seen anything.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the drain from the valley, your ffm or a fuel line is most likely leaking.

Thanks all I'll check it out. Hoping it's an easy fix. I've found a number of posts regarding the fuel lines around the fuel filter and hoses nearby so hopefully this won't be a big deal. I just hadn't seen anything about a drain from the valley so I wasn't sure.
